The OOPs (On-line Opinion Poll System) is provided by Meridian-1st a wholly owned division of Alumni Associates Ltd. Alumni Associates Ltd has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy and inform customers of our information gathering and dissemination practices.

Information Collection and Usage

Meridian-1st collects and stores the information you provide by completing a survey.

That information is not used by Meridian-1st or any affiliates and is made available only to the party conducting the survey.

In some instances, Meridian-1st may use cookies to keep track of the status of your survey.

The only information collected and passed on to the party conducting the survey is the information you provide in the questions you choose to answer.  Your information is gathered only in text boxes (one-line and scrolling), check boxes, radio buttons, drop down menus, and form navigation buttons.

When you visit our site we will issue a cookie which assigns a unique number to you, which has no meaning outside of our Web site.   Most browsers allow the user to refuse cookies or issue a warning when cookies are being sent.

We use this cookie to ensure our server knows the status of your session.  Allowing cookies ensures efficient use of our service.  

We will not use the information collected from your surveys in any way. Any material you provide us (including images, email addresses, etc.) will be held in the strictest confidence.

We only collect personal information about you when you specifically provide this information on a voluntary basis and to administer our accounts and records. 

A Customer’s surveys and their results/data will be stored in their password protected account during the pre-paid period of usage and for no more than 10 days after the cessation of any pre-paid period of usage. During the pre-paid period customers may delete and/or download survey results from their account.

Meridian-1st reserves the right to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics. We do this in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the website.

Opting Out

Upon request, Meridian-1st will delete you and your personal information from our database; however, it may be impossible to delete all of your information without some residual data because of backups and records of deletions. Specifically where a transaction has occurred between any organisation or individual and Meridian -1st or its parent company Alumni Associates Ltd there is a legal obligation (English law) to retain details of that transaction for six years.

Should you wish to opt out of any mailing from Meridian-1st, click on unsubscribe link, If you opt out of receiving any marketing or publicity communications from Meridian-1st, we reserve the right to contact you regarding your account status or any other matter that might affect our service to you and/or the records we hold about you.  

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control in accordance with the UK 1998 Data Protection act as per our registration.
